I’m so excited to be able to check something off of my to-do list! Yesterday, Carl and I put together the escort (seating) cards display for Suzette and Timothy’s wedding reception! Escort cards contain the names of guests along with a table number where they should be seated. Here’s a sneak peek for those of you coming to the wedding… it will probably have different flowers on it, but you get the idea!
What we did was buy 2 lattice panels from the garden department at Home Depot, and Carl hinged them together. Then using cute pink push pins from Dollar Tree, and Shabby Chic gift tags from the dollar section at Michael’s, we hung tags at each criss-cross of the lattice. The tags will display the guest or family’s name on the topside of the card, and their table number on the underside. We will have 2 young ladies greeting the guests, asking for their last name (if they don’t already know it,) and handing them their card. The guests will then enter the reception area and find their assigned table. Each guest can then choose at which seat they would like to sit.
After browsing the internet and seeing so many unique kinds of seating card displays, I let my creative juices flow and came up with this idea. It was a simple and fun project. Suzette loves it, and so that’s all that matters to me!
